Spring, Summer Art Project, Traditional Paisley Patterns from Ancient India

This book has 47 pages with different types of Paisley outline shape templates where children may fill in the traditional designs that are also included.

Art work samples and art work pictures of my students work from 5th Grade is also there.

Paisley Patterns were created by Ancient Indians and were inspired by raw mangoes or Kairi as called in Hindi because of their shape. Mangoes ripen mostly in Summers and Monsoons in India.

These templates are great for early finishers as well as an enriching Art Project. :)

Warli Art is an Ancient and Living, Folk Art form from India.

It started by Ancient Indians in the village of Warli in the state of Maharashtra.

Warli Art was basically Wall Art as people painted scenes from their daily life on the walls of their houses. During ancient times they used different Natural materials to draw and paint on mud plastered walls.

In ancient India, art was a part of daily celebration of life. The prehistoric caves of Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh in India, are a UNESCO World Heritage site. They are appreciated for their handmade artwork on walls and ceilings of rock shelter homes of our ancestors.

Ancient India Food trail, Word Search has 5 worksheets which are apt for Grade 4 and above. The words have been placed up to down, down to up, left to right and right to left. As children find the names, they wonder what the dishes taste and look like! It is an understanding of diverse cultures through local food. The food items in the wordsearch are from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Telangana and Seemandhra Pradesh in India.
