Only Owners Entry Allowed… a thoughtful poem written by Muskaan Rajpal, class 8, La Martiniere Girls’ College, Lucknow.
Each one of us has a customized corner,
It may be present in a diary, a sketch book or simply in a part of our hearts,
It is a corner which says,
“ONLY OWNER’S ENTRY ALLOWED”
It is a place where we can be,
As pretty as a dove or as ugly as a gargoyle,
As free as a pigeon or as tamed as a parrot.
It is a corner where we can be “ME”
I may be Muskaan to the world,
You may be Surabhi or Swati or Anisha to the world,
The world knows Muskaan and Surabhi and Swati and Anisha,
But the world does not know “ME”
The world does not know what I am being when I am not being Muskaan.
And who knows that?
It is a corner which says,
“ONLY OWNER’S ENTRY ALLOWED”
